JUNIOR MILLWRIGHT - Non BEE position

MUST BE FLUENT IN AFRIKAANS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12 qualification.
1 - 3 years experience as a Millwright
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program / Certification as a Millwright
based on national standards
• Experience in an FMCG environment will be an added benefit
• Basic Excel / MS Word / Outlook
• Knowledge of food hygiene requirements related to the position will be an added
benefit
• Knowledge of the OSHA and industry safety measures

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be able to read and understand relevant technical documents such as drawings and blueprints
• Must be able to troubleshoot and follow problem to its source and assist to solve the fault
• Assist in installing, dismantling/ and moving machinery as need with the safe use of equipment
• Assist machine operators as well as more senior artisans to make the plant and all relevant equipment operate at peak efficiency
• Work according to maintenance plan and schedule
• Ensure that all necessary material is available before onset of a job
• Good housekeeping principles
• Make sure when jobs are perform that is done in a manner that is safe and it is completed according to the latest workplace regulations, laws and requirements
• Timeous completion of supporting documents such as job cards
• Be able to direct and manage artisan assistants
