Specialist in Liability Insurance requires a Junior Underwriter with relevant qualifications to analyse and underwrite new and existing policies effectively within delegated authority limits.

Responsibilities:
Achieve targeted underwriting profit by assistance and performance of underwriting skills by underwriting medium to high complexity risk portfolios
Growth and retention of business
Contribute to proposition development
Provide qualitative service levels to internal and external stakeholders
Support Underwriting team where required

Requirements:
Grade 12
2+ years underwriting exposure
FAIS compliant (60 credits)
Must have RE5
Knowledge of the South African Insurance/re-insurance market
Sound knowledge of statutory and legislative requirements
Sound knowledge and understanding of underwriting principles
Commercial, Financial, and business acumen
