A leading lifting machine inspection and training company based in Brackenfell has an opportunity for a Learner Lifting Machine Inspector (Technician) to join their team. Apprentice/learner LMI has the opportunity for career advancement through the company, both in the classroom, and on the job. Apprentice/learner LMI/Technician work with registered LMI’s in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of lifting equipment.

Responsibilities of Apprentice/learner LMI/Technician Include

• Carrying out inspection and testing work to industry specifications, whether on site or in workshops;
• Completing necessary paperwork in line with set procedures and industry specifications;
• Assisting with repairs and servicing of lifting equipment where required;
• Adhering to regulations surrounding health and safety, quality and environmental protection;
• Travelling between different sites and workshops to work on;
• Working in a fast-paced office environment completing administration work;
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements;
• Passion for machinery and the technical aspects of the industry;
• Able to pick up new systems quickly that may be very technical;
• High level of organisation and commitment to your work;
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components of cranes and hoists;
• Gain technical knowledge and skills;
• Working at high elevations;
• Work as part of a team or individually as required;
• Adhere to all company policies including safety, appearance, and customer service.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be able to medical testing and background check and will meet the following:
• Matric (Grade 12)/N4.
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Live near the Brackenfell area.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Computer proficient
• Exceptional customer service skills
