Life Insurance Actuarial Analyst

A role for an actuarial analyst in the Life consulting team who enjoys modelling and has strong technical abilities.
This position will give the candidate exposure to all aspects of life consulting work in South Africa and the wider African continent.
The candidate will report directly to the Actuarial Manager in managing client assignments.

• Statutory valuations, Embedded Value reporting
• Product pricing & design
• ORSAs
• Drafting reports
• Supporting the manager/consulting actuary
• Adhere to quality control procedures
• Assisting with tenders
• Performing market studies & research
• Analysis of surplus
• Performing experience investigations

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Life Insurance
• Experience with SAM, EV, ORSA, reserving, solvency valuations and pricing would be an advantage
• Experience in Prophet coding
• Strong actuarial technical skills
• Good communication skills
• Strong work ethic and highly motivated
• Ability to work to a deadline and give regular feedback on progress
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to travel to non-South African based clients from time to time d15.7
