Logistics Coordinator
Requirements:
? Grade 12 certificate.
? Relevant Tertiary qualification will be required.
? 3 years’ experience in warehousing in a manufacturing environment.
? Working knowledge of MRP / SAP system (Material Management).
? Record of successful distribution and Logistics Management.
? Proficient in use of Excel (high level).
Some duties:
? Develops strategies to process and control material flow within the warehouse facility.
? Leads the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles to reduce warehouse. lead times, increase labour efficiencies, and improve internal customer service.
? Manage logistics team with an emphasis on teambuilding, communication, performance accountability, and positive employee relations management.
? Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions.
? Ensure inventory is being controlled and maintained.
? Ensure that physical condition of the warehouse is being maintained.
? Ensure that the inventory count of raw materials, project material, consumables and maintenance.
? Preparing annual reports and inventory related to warehouse and shipping management.
? Coordination with the Procurement and Production Planning department for the reception, storage and movements of the materials and finished product in order to maximize the use of logistics resources.
