Machine Shop Superintendent

Our client, a Blue chip company based in the Vaal has a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer with the following:
The candidate will report to the Machine Shop Manager. He will be given time to gain experience, but must be able to take over the management of the department in two years’ time.

Qualification
• Grade 12
• B Eng. Mechanical degree only
• Project planning/Management experience

Requirements:
• Age group 30 – 40 years
• Project planning experience
• Experience with continuous improvement strategies (Six sigma; etc)
• Must either stay in the Vaal, or willing to move to Vaal triangle
• Some Machine Shop experience would be advantageous, but not a requirement
• Applicant will handle quality & cost improvement projects in the machine shop and will also manage machine operators.
