Sovereign in their Commercial Division are looking for an individual to assume the responsibilities of Maintenance Foreman in their Hartbeespoort operation. The successful incumbents will report directly to the Maintenance Engineer. A Mechanical trade certificate with 3-4 experience in managing shift personnel in a FMCG environment is a requirement. This position holds a task grade of T11.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve the following results:

•Contribute to the < 3% plant downtime to ensure targeted through put
•100% execution of job cards allocated and accurate administration
•Adhere to CMMS & manufacturer’s service schedules
•Follow to GMP requirements in terms of HACCP which includes all SOPs related to Maintenance and operations
•Eliminate wastage through, Zero (0%) reworks, 100% adherence to the Time and Attendance procedure and job planning in order to eliminate excessive issuing of spare parts
•Ensure effective shift handover to the next shift that comes on duty in order to keep the momentum going.
•Adhering to general manufacturing practices for the food environment
•Coordinate team function and compile daily shift feedback report.

Critical Competencies and Skills:

•Knowledge on FMCG equipment operation and maintenance
•Computer literate (MS Office)
•Good planning and organizational skills
•Flexibility and adaptability with regards to breakdowns and working hours
•Excellent problem solving and analyzing skills
•Good communication skills
