Responsibilities:
Appointed GMR2(1) for site, i.e. overall responsible for site legal compliance (all SHE related)
Overall responsible for site service
The effective planning, coordination and execution of all maintenance and repairs to machinery
Provide the necessary assistance working on breakdowns
Develop personnel ensuring full competency on all plant equipment
Ensure that the work completed by the artisans as well as operator schedules complies with the laid down standard
Responsible for compiling department personnel, maintenance and capex budgets
Actively managing department budget to ensure we maintain budget
Actively be involved in all maintenance/service tasks, closely working with agents to ensure equipment standards and supplier maintenance conformance at all times
Perform HAZOP and RCM analysis for all equipment ensuring optimal maintenance on equipment
Do fault finding on failures and below par plant performance. Actively give feedback in productivity meetings
Do fault finding and take corrective action. Timeous completion of problem-solving, coaching staff on problem-solving process
Report on production availability and continuously strive to improve productivity of department. Report on breakdowns

Requirements:
At least 8 years relevant experience, including personnel management record and FMCG food experience
B-Tech Electrical/Mechanical
Millwright Trade tested
Understanding of technical drawings and technical guides
Must be able to think analytically and should have problem-solving skills
Must be able to function under pressure
Experience with PLCs will be advantageous
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and public holidays when required
Must be willing to perform standby duty
