Maintenance Planner - Mechanical Artisan

Our client based in Sasolburg has a position available for a Qualified Artisan with the following :

**To manage all Maintenance spares and coordinate repairs to equipment

• Grade 12/N3
• N4 Technical qualification
• Qualified Red Seal Artisan – Fitter / Fitter & Turner
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar maintenance role
• Must have experience as Maintenance Planner or Spares Coordinator (non-negotiable)
• Providing planning and faultfinding
• Prepared to work overtime, and standby duties
• Must have a valid drivers license and own vehicle for supplier visits
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel and SAP

KPA
• Obtain spares for a large variety or repairable equipment as per maintenance needs
• This will include mainly stock items or non-stock items
• Check for the correctness of delivered materials
• Responsible for the repair cycle of all reparable items, mechanical and electrical using SAP PM
• Responsible for the Technical specification and stock levels of strategic spares for repairable items maintaining SAP MM data
• Monitor and control the exit, repair and return of all items from site maintaining SAP PM data
• Technically evaluate repair and set up repair procedure or scope of work in consultation with SME
• Route item to suitable repairer internal or external
• Control the quality of the repair process
• Expedite repair process
• On return, perform the inspections and return items to store
• Initiate repair contracts for regularly repaired items
• Respond to urgent repair and spare requests
• Technically review quotations / tenders for repairs / replacement of equipment
• Initiate RCA on major failures
• Perform general housekeeping tasks
