Management Couple

Our client, a Private Game Reserve, situated on the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains – Great Karoo – is seeking a Management Couple to take charge of the Hospitality Operations. The accommodation is pet friendly and includes a 5-bedroomed catered Lodge and a seasonal 10-sleeper tented camp. Couples with children will be considered.
The ideal candidates have a strong hospitality operational skill-set with a minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a similar environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar will be advantageous;
• Strong operational skills and experience in managing a staff compliment of 6 staff which includes the hospitality and housekeeping team;
• Highly guest and service orientated
• Computer literate
• Matric
• Experience in managing all HR related duties;
• Hands-on management approach with excellent planning and problem solving skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong administration skills;
• Excellent training and staff development ability;
• Valid driver’s licence is essential;

Key Duties:

Ensure smooth running of hospitality operations, maintenance of facilities, guest experience and staff relations through:
• Attending to guest enquiries & reservations including liaison with tour operators, agents and central reservations;
• Communication of confirmed reservations with hospitality team;
• Menu planning and stock takes;
• Food & Beverage orders, planning of shopping trips, capturing invoices;
• Meet and greet guests after activities;
• Room checks and oversee housekeeping;
• Lodge set up and maintain BOP;
• Meal set up and service in dining area or bush
• Check-in/out of guests, POS recordings, invoicing and bill settlement;

Remuneration: R25 000 – 30 000 pm combined
This is a live-in position (2 bedroomed house)

Start Date: 1 July 2022 (Before the 16th July)
