Our client in the agricultural industry requires the service of a Marketing Officer.

Key performance areas:

? Handling of all small sales enquiries for new and existing clients. This includes income telephonic calls and email requests.
? Referring all sales queries to the relevant staff member
? Responding to website leads, as well as leads for the Sales Team and Procurement officer.
? General enquiries on products and market related enquiries
? Liaising of new marketing or advertising opportunities with the Head of Sales.
? Organizing and planning of Shows, Expo’s and Growers Days that are happening through the year.

Shows and Expo’s:

? Obtaining quotes, sending through for PO number and then following up for invoice purposes.
? Organising the whole set up, from furniture to Schell scheme hire to accommodation and frequent correspondence.
? Preparing brochures and banners ready for the events.

Grower’s day:

? Organising the Growers days for the company.
? Designing and sending out the invitations.
? Working on the Mail chimp program
? Setup of marketing material and refreshments for the day.

Sales orders on Navision:

? Capturing of all sales orders saved in the yellow folder on the server and putting the data on the excel spread sheet.
? This include the type of quote, crop, date, sales person and then quote cost, total cost, and profit and product code.

Mailchimp:

? Capturing details of website subscribers onto the contact list. Putting together a photo library.
? Creating and loading of photo library and related information on the program.
? Quote proposal templates for sale team.
? Put together the proposal templates per product that the sale team can use when sending out quotes.

Drive – online platform:

? Putting folders together that the sales team can use when out of office and looking for sales and marketing related items.
? This include, putting together the existing and potential client list and photo library.
? Organizing the photo gallery per category.

Subsistence allowance:

? Capturing on the excel spread sheet sales team travel information for finance

Brochure designing, website and other marketing material:

? Liaising with the Sales Manager on layout and design ideas.
? Obtaining quotes from companies that will help with final design and printing.
? Manage process up to final design stage

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a relevant Tertiary qualification
? Minimum of two years’ experience in a marketing or PR role
? Attention to detail
? Excellent communication and written skills
? Experience working on Navision and Mailchimp will be advantageous
? Excellent organizational skills
