Our client requires the services of a Mechanic who will be responsible for both corrective and preventative maintenance on all vehicles.

Key performance areas:

? Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts
? Reconditions and replaces parts, such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings, using engine lathes, boring machines, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
? Corrects vehicles deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems and performing preventive maintenance.
? Daily management of vehicle service centre assistance in terms of time management and productive
? Ensure all regulatory requirements, standards, company systems, procedures and policies are met in all actions on company premises.
? Maintain safe work environment by ensuring all pre inspections and safe checks are done, all machine or electrically
? operated machinery are locked out and relevant permits are obtained (where required in case of hazardous tasks) before commencement of any job or task

The successful candidate must have:

? Must have Matric/N3 Qualification
? Must be a Qualified Petrol/Diesel Mechanic
? Minimum 5 years work experience with Trucks and Forklift repairs
? Experience managing a team
? Able to work systematic and in an organized manner
? Diagnostic skills
? Have a good work ethic and excellent problem-solving ability
? Technical aptitude
? Must have a valid Code EB/8 Drivers license
