A National Company specializing in the manufacture, supply and installation of grading, sorting and packing equipment and technology for the fruit and vegetable sector.

Due to rapid expansion in South Africa the company are seeking a:

Mechatronics/PLC Technician - Based in Groblersdal

Requirements

Electro-Mechanical Trade Test (e.g. Millwright) or equivalent, essential

Previous exposure to PLC and Programming. Omron experience advantageous.

Technical experience with regards to mechanical and industrial electricity

Electronic and IT knowledge or experience

Fully Bilingual (Afrikaans & English) Spanish & French would be an advantage

Must have valid drivers license and a valid/renewable passport

Must be willing to travel - Mostly in SA but international travel will be a requirement from time to time

Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning of new machinery from inception to completion focusing on:

Mechanical and Electrical

PLC automation

Reduce and minimize minor stoppages and time loss due to operational stops by providing after sales service, focusing on:

Mechanical repairs and adjustments

PLC assistance

Deal and follow up on consumer queries and complaints

Provide detailed feedback to the group in order to implement technical solutions

Encourage a "Learn from Experience" culture within the technical team by sharing and re-applying technical knowledge to improve efficiency of the team

Specialized training, unique to the Group, will be provided to the successful candidate

Remuneration to be negotiated on qualifications and experience.
