A company in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg is looking for an Account Manager for Industrial Quality Solutions - Material Science

Job Description:
To secure and expand profitable business within the South African Industrial Microscopy and Metrology market segments, as defined by the Industrial Measurement Technology / Microscopy Segment Managers, and the sale of divisional products in general and those selected for special promotion in particular.

Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy/Production/Science related field.
• 2 – 3 years sales experience preferably with equipment used in the mineralogy/extractive metallurgical laboratories field or 2-3 years work experience in the engineering field preferably in quality control and inspection within the production environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel extensively in South Africa plus overseas for training (3 weeks)
• Hours: normal working hours and occasionally work week-ends / evenings


Products: HIGH VALUE CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
Optical Light Microscopes, Digital Microscopes, Computer Based Imaging Systems, Optotech O-Inspect and XRM portfolio


Summary- duties/responsibilities:

• Contact and establish relationships with new and existing customers
• Participation in congresses, conferences;
• Arranging and performing demonstrations, presentations, equipment; installations and customer training
• Administrative work required: quote preparation, order processing, weekly time schedules, prospect reports and market analysis
• Develop the company’s market by visiting clients to promote and sell products and services the company offers and manage the daily product activities
• Meet sales targets

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
