NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR:
CENTURY CITY
Bank Independent Payment Services Provider based in Century City is recruiting

JOB PURPOSE
• Responsible for setting up, developing and maintaining networks within the IT infrastructure using a wide range of complex IT infrastructures and technologies

RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Support
• To interpret both business and technical requirements and develop solutions accordingly
• Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
• Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the customer environment
• To be able to work across all infrastructure technology domains and collaborate with Product teams to help create network solutions
• Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
• Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
• Report network operational status by gathering and prioritising information and managing projects where required
• Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation
• Provide onsite or remote access diagnoses and resolution of network using a highly integrated set of diagnostic tools and techniques
• Stay on top of innovations in the network technology market in order to ensure we are ahead of business and regulatory needs
Security and Compliance
• Adherence to PCI regulations
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
• Project Planning and Support
• Facilitate technical planning network sessions with the Product team and customer
• Drafting of network diagrams and proposals
• Ensure that proposed solutions, when implemented, meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer
• Deliver related IT assessments to analyse customer environment and business requirements
• Provide planning schedule for set up and testing of network infrastructure for customer

EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or related discipline

EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 - 5 years of related experience
• WAN / MPLS / IPSec Networks
• Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLAN, Trunking)
• WAF / Loadbalancers
• Cisco & Checkpoint firewall management
• Cisco & HP switch management
• Experience in the following fields would be beneficial:
• Apache Tomcat
• Unix / Linux server management
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Windows Server / active directory management
• PowerShell / scripting
• MySQL Server
• Office 365 management
• PostgreSQL
• Software defined network storage
