A multinational Trade Credit Insurance organisation's South African office is wishing to appoint a New Business Executive that will report directly to the Head of New Business. The key requirements and responsibilities are listed below.

Key Requirements:

Education/qualifications:

Matric plus a tertiary qualification or equivalent.
Appointed as a registered FAIS representative (on the FSB website).
Work experience:

Strong commercial sales experience (3-5 years in the Trade Credit Insurance industry). The successful candidate must be confident enough in this area to be able to autonomously establish him/herself in the market, and be able to develop and implement sales strategies to successfully generate leads and close business.
Active selling experience is a must.
Relevant experience in the credit insurance industry or similar industry is beneficial. Alternative to this, experience selling a technical product (where more than one face to face meeting is generally required) is an advantage.
Other requirements:

Good credit and financial knowledge as well as an analytical mindset are all advantages.
Must have a good understanding of the different industries and the economy.
Computer literacy, with proficiency in Windows, MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the internet and e-mail is required.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage distribution through various broker channels, financial institutions and partnership distribution.
Responsible for the direct sales and marketing of the company.
Responsible for lead generation of potential clients utilising a variety of tools such as passed on leads, mining of databases, research etc.
Responsible for developing new relationships to boost the distribution pipeline.
Managing several relationships through various lines of distribution – also responsible for training of new and existing external partners.
Conducting sales visits and introducing the company and products to prospects.
Identifying the specific needs of prospects and convincing prospects of the merits of credit insurance and the Company within individual contexts.
Obtaining documentation from prospects enabling the Company to prepare a quotation.
Identifying specific needs of the prospect in order to ensure that a quotation, is tailormade to the prospects specific needs, can be produced.
Preparing and facilitating the quotation process within the Company.
Follow up and management of the indication limit process.
Professionally presenting the quotation to the prospect/broker/partner.
Facilitate the final policy process of signed policies.
Providing policy training to policyholders and brokers as appropriate.
Preparation of full reports providing feedback on all activities and on the sales process.
Key Shortlisting Criteria:

FAIS qualifications
Commercial selling experience.
Background in financial services industry.
Excellent communication skills and a presentable candidate.
Own transport.
