OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – BALLITO, DURBAN

ENVIRONMENT:
Physical Rehab / Sub-Acute / Multi-Disciplinary Team

TYPE:
Permanent, Full Time Position
Straight Shift with Rotation (including Saturdays and Public Holidays)

Start Date:
As soon as possible

SALARY ON OFFER:

REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current & Valid HPCSA registration
Current & Valid OTASA Registration
Membership for Malpractice Insurance
3 to 5 years’ experience within a rehabilitation environment
Excellent Communications Skills (Afrikaans & Xhosa Advantageous)
Advanced Computer Literacy – MS Office

ADVANTAGEOUS:
Experience working within an interdisciplinary team
Training or qualification in neurological / cognitive rehabilitation

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provision of group sessions in the programme
Provision of individual sessions with patients
Participation in all sessions to gain an understanding of the programme and be able to present various sessions when required
Carrying out administrative tasks and Assessment of patients
Accompanying patients on sessions outside of the hospital and provide therapeutic interventions during these times if required
