PC Technician Durban KZN Disability Position

Our laboratory scientific client in Durban is looking for a PC Technician / IT Technician with 3 years’ experience. This is a disability position and only applicants with a disability will be considered.

Salary Very Negotiable

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• At least three years’ experience in the above fields of disciplines

Responsibilities
• Experience in Software Development using Java, C/C++, Python, Matlab, Process Maker
• Experience in emerging technologies for fourth industrial revolution (4IR)
• Ensure security of equipment in laboratories
• Ensure basic maintenance of electronic equipment
• Operate high-speed and large-format printers
• Booking of computer facilities
• Provide practical training to students
• Maintain laboratory usage, devices and equipment
• Engage in administration duties and identify equipment that need to be sent for repairs
• Obtain quotations and liaise with the finance and procurement departments
