Wellness Warehouse is currently looking for an experienced and skilled individual to join our Supply Chain Team at our Distribution Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning function of the Health Department

Key purpose of the role:

As Planner, your primary responsibility will be to manage the planning function of the relevant category to ensure optimal inventory holding in support of the current and future growth of the business and maintain expected service levels to both internal and external customers. You will also be responsible for managing a team of planning assistants/merchandise controllers.

Main Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Manage inventory to achieve targeted stock efficiencies and balance supply and demand
Manage forward buy levels in accordance with OTB
Manage the inflow of stock to achieve stock availability targets
Plan and implement buyer promotional plans. Where necessary, have meetings with suppliers to implement buying plan and ensure orders are placed according to deals.
To translate the new product inventory flow plan into store specific allocations by setting the initial allocation quantities when launching products into the business to maximise stock efficiencies.
To generate and collate information and then apply sound business thinking to provide the Merchandise team with insights to assist the team in planning and managing the category effectively.
Ensure de-ranged and slow-moving lines are redistributed across branches and or returned to suppliers.
Undertake analysis that supports or challenges category/business strategy to provide insights for the Range Review process based on the analysis of the relevant information to add value to the quantification process of new lines and space changes

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a brand ambassador and have a genuine interest in Health and Wellness
3-5 years of experience as a Planner in FMCG retail or other related working environments
Tertiary Degree, Retail/Commercial (E.g. Bcomm), and/or professional qualification (E.g. CPIM, DDP)
High level of interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and interface with multiple management levels and multiple areas of the company
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Must show a level of assertiveness
Ability to manage a team
Must be performance-driven and results-focused
Ability to make insightful business decisions and think laterally
