A leading Civil Construction company in Wellington is looking to appoint a Plant Services Manager who is a qualified Diesel Mechanic with solid experience in supervising artisans/mechanics in using, maintaining, repairing and renting earth moving equipment.

The ideal person must be able to work under pressure and overtime; have good communication and negotiation skills; and must be detail oriented and computer literate.

At least 8 yrs experience in a Plant Manager position with a Diesel Mechanic qualification are required.

Duties will include:

Supervision of mechanics including preparation of daily tasks list and quality control.
Supervise earthmoving equipment use, maintenance, repairs and rentals. (Excavators, dumper trucks, loaders, TLB's, LDV's, Trucks, and small plant).
Manage monthly accounts and cost of sales.
Manage accurate service reporting, stock control, order requisitions, trade discounts, operators, artisans and health and safety plan in workshop.
