PLC SOFTWARE ENGINEER (CONVEYOR SYSTEMS)
Are you looking to relocate to the Netherlands and work internationally with a company that builds devices that nobody else can?
In collaboration with a Netherlands-based recruiter, we are looking for a PLC Software Engineer with experience in different PLC systems such as S5, S7 and higher.
Our client designs, integrates and delivers the very best materials handling and conveyor solutions for their customers in the Netherlands and internationally.
Salary/package offered: The salary is based on knowledge and experience, and based on fulltime employment of 40 hours a week. Further details to be provided in due course to shortlisted applicants.
Candidate requirements:
• You have extensive experience with PLC systems in conveyor-based distribution solutions;
• A relevant tertiary qualification relevant degree, diploma or equivalent;
• willing to travel as around 40% of the work will be conducted at the client’s location, both in the Netherlands and further afield (most likely in countries like Germany, Belgium and Czech Republic but also China and the USA). This can be from 2 days to a week, and in exceptional cases longer.
• a go-getter with a strong work ethic, not a 9 to 5 mentality.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the programming of control software for new projects, based on technical specifications. In addition to creating, you will make improvements, expansions and modifications to existing software. You are part of a project team that works in various phases: from design to execution. Together with your colleagues from different disciplines, you discuss the composition of functional descriptions and technical specifications. With your creativity and versatility, you advise and support the development of concepts and system solutions. Your knowledge and expertise will also be required for standardization projects.
The most important responsibilities of the PLC Software Engineer are collaborating with a multidisciplinary project team as you develop PLC applications and the user manual of applications; implementing and testing the applications in a virtual environment and afterwards on locations in the Netherlands or abroad; giving instructions to the customer’s staff and providing (telephonic) support in case of malfunctions. For this, you will participate in the second-line 24-hour service schedule.
