Reporting to the Production Shift - Foreman, a successful candidate will be responsible for process control of all plants, including the Flotation, Flash Dryers and Wet Ball Mill, targeting to achieve the production quality, efficiency, and targets whilst conforming to the Idwala SHEQ standards.

Key performance areas include:

• Maintaining and exceeding the production quality and efficiency targets without producing off spec.
• Ensuring that health, safety, environmental and quality standards and procedures are followed.
• Ensuring optimum operation of process plants with respect to:
a) physical inspection of the process plants and ensuring availability of raw materials
b) adjusting plant parameters to ensure conformance to quality
c) reporting all defects/non-conformances to the Shift- Foreman
• Keeping accurate records of plant data.
• Assisting with minor maintenance, plant investigations, tests and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• A recognized tertiary qualification in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent;
• A good understanding of the plant and familiar with the running of plants; and
• Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
