Procurement Officer - Cato Ridge - Durban
Salary: R17K CTC

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Procurement Officer from the production and freight industry. This is a permanent position based in Cato Ridge, Durban, Kwazulu Natal. The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility of requesting quotations, entry level negotiations, VCRD creations and purchase order creations.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12, Diploma (related)
• 2 years’ experience within a similar role
• Reliable Transport
• Experience within a procurement, freight, import/export and production industry highly advantageous

Duties:
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Negotiations
• VCRD creations
• Zero penalties or delays in Freight goods
• Updating and reporting on pending indents
• Updating and reporting on pending purchase orders
• Monitoring of prices and usage of consumables and advising responsible persons
• Conducting supplier audits
• Problem solving and assisting in case of absenteeism
• Monthly kaizen submissions
• Invoice check and submission to accounts
• Freight forwarder documentation (checking, sign-off & submission)
