• Assist with the development and implementation of future strategies to enable Individual Life to remain competitive in changing environments, taking into consideration, amongst others:
– changing client behaviour;
– legislation;
– Fintech; and
– future competition
• Develop and maintain appropriate Risk product solutions in order to achieve above strategic objectives as well as shorter and medium term growth
• The role works closely with Intermediary Support, Marketing, Actuarial and Distribution
• Develop and implement new Risk product solutions aimed at driving increased Risk sales into target markets. Maintain risk products by, inter alia, understanding drivers of VNB and doing rate reviews in liaison with Actuarial
• Assist with future proofing of solutions by taking into account: changing client behaviour; legislation; Fintech and future competition
• Develop Client Value Proposition’s for target segments and enable superior client experience
• Develop Intermediary Value Propositions for target segments and ensure the delivery thereof
• Facilitate research, marketing and client analysis on products, highlighting its performance and potential opportunities

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

• Qualified Actuary with appropriate experience in life insurance risk products
• Knowledge and understanding of risk solutions
• Actuarial problem solving
• Actuarial negotiation
• Business knowledge
• Business analysis
