Atlantic Black (Pty) Ltd, situated in the Clanwilliam/Trawal area, seeks to employ a self-motivated and target driven Production Manager (EE) who will be responsible for the overall management of the farm including new orchard development and blueberry growing tunnel management.

Responsibilities:

• Establishing new tunnels and orchards
• Establish and manage irrigation system
• Implement best horticultural practices to ensure high productivity and the achievement of production targets
• Manage fertilizing, pest control and weed control programs
• Berry orchard practices and ongoing quality control
• Packhouse responsibilities during harvest season
• Liaise with Project Manager with regards to budget management
• Ensure compliance with all audit and legislation requirements
• Personnel management of +- 300 employees

Requirements:

• Matric with a relevant agricultural qualification
• At least 3 years practical experience in fruit production and personnel management
• Driver’s license and PDP
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Willing to work overtime, weekend duties and reside on the farm
• Extremely organised, well presented and the ability to work independently
• Fluently in Afrikaans and English (Setswana advantageous)

Package: Market related salary depending on experience, housing and company vehicle.
