The job title: Production Manager
Report to: Operations Manager
People reporting to the person: 2 x Foreman and about 42 production employees

Description:
• The person will be fully responsible for the planning and execution of all production related activities.
• This includes overall control over purchasing,
• Insight into financial planning and 'cash flow' management when certain products are built (operations manager will help here, but the production manager must be well informed)
• Personnel management
• Mechanical / technical advice on the production team.
• The person will in time form part of executive meetings and have many people who report to him / her.

Requirements:
• Have experience as a production manager
• Be energetic and enthusiastic
• Be familiar with KPIs
• Computer literate
• Have good references from previous position as production manager
• Good mechanical feel
• Experience in mechanical manufacturing environment
• Insight regarding vehicles, specifically trailers, will count strongly in your favour
• Have human knowledge and good interpersonal relationships
• Be mathematically strong
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Have insight into financial management, especially cash flow planning around production
• Inventory management and waste reduction application
• Project/team management including leading, motivating and disciplining workers when needed.
• Practical engineering problem solving skills so as to be able to resolve technical issues.
• Process improvement.
