Our Client based in the Winelands area (Paarl) currently has a position of Project Coordinator available. To note this is a temporary position for a period of 3 (three) months.

Purpose of the position
The Project coordinator will be responsible for planning and overseeing the project on behalf of the Operations division. He / She will ensure that the project is completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Coordinator will designate project resources, prepare budget, monitor progress and report to the Operations Manager of the Project.

Key Responsibilities
• Understand the project scope, objectives and roll out plans in line with the strategic objectives
• Predict resources required to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
•Track project costs in order to meet budget expectations
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Assist the Operations Manager to provide project updates on a consistent basis about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Assist the Operations Manager to manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and adjust as needed
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement and report to Operations Manager
• Coordinate activities between the various service and supply management providers

Qualifications
• At least a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, tourism, project management or a related field
• 5-8 years of project management and related experience
• 5 years’ experience in wine tourism or wine marketing and Ecommerce
• Must have a code 8 driver’s licence
• Experience in setting up and developing wine tasting or restaurant facility
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or project management software skill
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively and finding innovative solutions
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong negotiating skills
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
