PROPERTY LEASING CONSULTANT

Basic CTC: R25 000 plus Commission and benefits

An industry leader in property management seeks to appoint a Property Leasing Consultant to manage a specific Commercial Portfolio. The successful incumbent will report to the Portfolio Executive and will ideally be from a Property Broking background. Responsibilities will include the canvassing and liaison with potential tenants, brokers and clients regarding renting vacant spaces.

Requirements

• 3 years relevant experience, preferably as a property broker, including a good knowledge of market trends, space marketing trends and marketing skills/principles.
• Ability to act logically, considers own alternatives in deal-making and provides solutions to prospective clients' enquiries and queries.
• Understanding of financial principles.
• Ability to close deals; follow up on documentation.
• Understanding Lease terms and principles;
• Understanding relevant statutory and legal aspects.
• Understanding of leasing practices, business trends, and the location of the property.

Responsibilities:

• Canvassing and liaison with potential tenants, brokers and client to establish and maintain good relationships in order to market and let vacant space at the best possible terms.
• Assumes primary responsibility for initiating, negotiating and closing deals.
• Works independently within a broad framework of existing policies, guidelines and mandates.
