Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic for a 6 month contract based in Port Elizabeth. Experience in a large, high pressurised manufacturing environment essential.

Overview:
• Vehicle Adjustment & Diagnostics Technician on vehicles and heavy duty trucks
• Person must be able to start immediately.
• Contract – 6 Months
• Salary – 13K – 15K
• Preferable from the automotive & or heavy duty truck industry if possible.
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Code 10 is a must and Code 14 will be advantageous.
• Not a EE position

Duties:
• Ability to drive all various trucks and vehicles;
• Ability to set up and handle all systems and equipment on and inside the vehicle;
• Specify vehicles for allocation;
• Preparation of vehicles for delivery;
• Ensure safety and security of Vehicles;
• Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to interact with people at all levels;
• Work independently;
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time;
• Ability to set up and handle vehicle equipment / instruments;
• Differentiate between various models;
• Make adjustments to trucks where needed to perform effectively;
• Carry out occasional repairs on operating systems as found on commercial vehicles. i.e. diesel system, airbrake system;
• Maintain constant workflow;
• Ensure safe-keeping of all vehicles;
• Work as a team-player;
• Ensure good quality of work;
• Record and retrieve production data;
• Record defective work and bring it under the attention of your supervision;
• Participate in group meetings and exchange information as required.
