REGISTERED NURSE – NICU AND PAEDS ICU X 2

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintaining all aspects of patient care and responsibilities in NICU.
• Participate in the ward quality improvement programmes to ensure a therapeutic and safe patient environment
• Strong leadership acumen (shift leading)
• Must be able to work efficiently under pressure
• Executes procedures according to the hospital’s standards and comply with legal requirements
• Provide and supervises the delivery of evidence - based nursing care
• The ability to display sound judgement in problem-solving.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
• Compliance with SANC code of practice for a registered Nurse
• Minimum of three years’ Neonatal / Paediatric ICU nursing care experience is essential.
• Post basic qualification in Neonatal Nursing Science or related Critical Care/ Child Nursing sciences would be an advantage.
• Must be willing to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the unit.
• Must be computer literate
