Reinsurance Business Actuary / Consultant – Individual Life
Assist with the development and implementation of the reinsurance strategy for Individual life across all dimensions.
Reinsurance
• Support and continuously look at effective ways to implement the reinsurance strategy. A balance should be struck between value add, simplicity and the necessary risk mitigation actions
• Work closely with Individual Life Client Solution, Operations and Actuarial on implementing the reinsurance strategy and provide input on reinsurance solutions for new products
• Providing reinsurance management information to business stakeholders
• Lead change initiatives on the Reinsurance system as the Business owner
• Ensure up to date and timeous reinsurance contracting
• Managing of inward reinsurance arrangements
• Engage with Individual Life’s reinsurers and manage relationships
• Provide support to the Head of Business development including:
o Assistance and production of the Reinsurance board and other business documentation together with business leaders
o Carrying out and support investigations to understand the impact of Reinsurance on the Individual Life Balance sheet.

• Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary with at least 3 years relevant experience in life insurance risk products.
• Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel)
Knowledge and understanding of risk solutions.
• Reinsurance experience will be an advantage
