My client is a distributor of various niche software solutions and platforms based in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

The SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities in West Africa for an experienced Business Development Executive and Pre-sales Consultant to drive towards winning.

Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, this is an office-based role working 08:30 - 17:00.

This role is open to West African nationals with the relevant legal documentation to work in South Africa.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED
-Minimum 3 years in a similar role
-Must have a proven track record in sales within the West African region

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
-Matric/successfully completed high school
-Tertiary qualification desirable

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES NEEDED
-Proven ability to prospect through companies to
identify the correct individuals
-The proven capability of running a full sales cycle,
from finding a new opportunity to the closing of
the deal
-Demonstrated track record in over-achieving
challenging targets

-Generate and seek out new business through cold-calling, email prospecting and referrals.

-Utilize strategic, proven sales methodologies to ensure the setting of appointments.
-Ensure that the CRM system (Salesforce) is accurately updated with all necessary information.
-Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and be able to hook a prospective client for a meeting using the unique benefits of the solution
