Sales Supervisor - East London
Lead Insurance Sales and Service teams within assigned territory. Provide feedback and input to
insurance leadership regarding how to improve service and promote continued growth of insurance. Assist Manager and Operations with support in assuring sales and retail operations run effectively.
? Direct supervision, coaching and development of Insurance Sales and Service teams.
? Prepare and facilitate monthly performance and development meetings and annual performance reviews.
? Review monthly results and provide input to Sales teams.
? Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and performance of Sales team.
? Develop content and conduct regular sales meetings.
? Provide sales leads and track results.
? Assist Quality Control Specialist in assuring risk management procedures are followed.
? Act as information source to staff regarding service guidelines, policies and procedures.
? Assure insurance partner communications are disseminated to Sales Teams.
? Establish and monitor Individual Development Plans.
? Oversee annual performance reviews for Sales teams.
? Research and resolve policyholders concerns.
? Responsible for assuring delivery of outstanding member service.
? Assure maintenance of a professional work environment.
? Participate in the development of regional sales and marketing plans, promotions and consumer
? Meet regularly with operations leadership to assure alignment with sales operations.
? Provide support and leadership to the operations of the sales and retail location, including all member service touch points.
? All other duties as assigned.
Demands / Complexity
Position involves work situations that are occasionally non-recurring and which do not conform to set procedures. Job involves a moderate to high level of complexity/difficulty. Position is responsible for assisting in developing procedures and objectives for others.
Performs duties with little direction. Decisions are made within broad interpretation of applicable laws, governmental guidelines, company policies, procedures and requests. Position maintains records of insurance files, personnel files and confidential/highly sensitive insurance company information. Work is not verified by another. Errors in work could result in severe financial loss, possible lawsuit, loss of agency license and loss of memberships.
Job includes full supervisory responsibilities for the Insurance Service Representatives and select Sales Agents. Position directly supervises part-time and full-time sales representatives. Position can make recommendations to Sales Manager regarding possible disciplinary action of agents in line with HR Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
Contact with Others
Contacts are equally split between others both inside and outside the company. Contacts occur equally within and between departments. Contacts frequently contain confidential/sensitive information, necessitating discretion at all times. Contacts are usually made on own initiative. Majority of contacts are with non-members and on the phone. Interactions normally involve information exchange, problem-solving and negotiations.

Education / Experience
? Minimum Matric
? Diploma or equivalent
? Management/Supervisory skills and Insurance principles.
? FAIS Compliant. Three years Insurance or Leadership preferred.
Job encounters frequent interruptions and extensive telephone and computer usage. Frequent travel to multiple operating points and field and head office is required. Weekend and longer hours may be necessary during peak periods.
