We are looking for an experienced and passionate Scrum Master to assist and add value to our development team. Our Dev team is a full-stack workforce that functions within an agile environment. Using our evolving processes, we conceive, specify, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, frameworks and platforms.

The Scrum Master will manage the incoming requests for work and larger projects that are assigned to our teams. With the team they will estimate the incoming work, plan it into releases and then coordinate and manage the work-flow to ensure delivery according to the release plans. In addition, they will manage the expected delivery of the work with stakeholders and assist with project roadmap planning.

Job Description

? Manages the workflow for the team
o Optimises workflow using agile and Kanban principles
o Identifies and resolves process issues in order to optimise team performance
? Manages meetings: backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives
? Ensures that the correct stakeholders are integrated into the process and attend the required meetings where their input or collaboration is required
? With the help of the team assists the product owner with release planning by facilitating consistent backlog refinement sessions.
? Provide updated information and progress reports on work requests and projects to stakeholders
? Looks after team relationships, communication and collaboration
? Assists the team to remove obstacles that prevent work from continuing and mitigate risks
? Protects the team from external interference that can impact the sprints, flow of work or cause context switching for developers
? Ensures the team members follow the agreed rules and processes
? Agile coaching for the team and stakeholders with the aim of continuous improvement
? Drives continuous improvement of the team’s processes to ensure optimal performance

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in project management and scrum master in a software development environment
• Certification or a post graduate diploma/degree in project management or Agile methodologies
• Knowledge and experience in Agile practices, Scrum and/or Kanban
• Experience with project management and workflow management software tools are an advantage
• A proven track record in software development processes and the ability to demonstrate process improvement
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Excellent planning and coordination skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to function well in a busy, demanding environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong leadership abilities
• Active participation in the Agile community is desirable
