Our client is currently looking for a Senior Contractst Engineer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar sector of the industry to provide support in the execution of projects.

• Operate within the requirements of the project schedule and budgets.
• Become familiar with the project organisation, schedule and overall workscope.
• Participate in the determination of the overall project contracting strategy, the pre-qualification and survey of companies wishing to tender including co-ordinating the input from other disciplines as appropriate and prepare list of renderers for management approval.
• Review contract requisitions and scope of work definition with engineering disciplines ensuring that technical specifications and workscope definition are satisfactory in content and format for tender purposes.
• Prepare tender documents and co-ordinate planning and quantity surveying input and issue for tender.
• Assist if required in the preparation of Bills of Quantities and other pricing schedules using available drawings, MTO's, model, estimate and all other available data in conjunction with appropriate engineering disciplines.
• Make recommendations for inclusion of provisional sums and / or development / contingency allowances based upon a careful examination of the likely scope of work to be constructed.
• Reconciliation of tenders received against original estimate

Qualifications:
• NEC and or relevant contract management courses

Knowledge, skills and experience:
• Pre-award and Contract Tender experience
• Experience gained from onsite construction projects.
• Cultural awareness and diplomacy.
