Senior Corporate Actuarial Analyst (Non-Life)
Rosebank, Johannesburg
• Analysing, structuring and reserving for non-life reinsurance
• Preparation of quarterly and annual reserving processes and results
• Building of stochastic reserving models
• Analysis of the performance of non-life business
• Statutory reporting (non-life), including SAM and Solvency II
• Modelling of forecast capital positions and business scenarios
• Part of the team responsible for the local implementation of IFRS 17
• Assisting business with large deals and ad hoc requests
• Communicating results
Qualification, Skills and Experience
• Actuarial Degree with Honours
• Qualified or close to qualifying Actuary
• At least 4 years of insurance experience
• Advanced Excel and Access (Including Visual Basic) skills
• SAM and Solvency II experience
• IFRS 17 knowledge preferable
• Understanding of reinsurance
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form at a management level
• Strong technical skills and the ability to consistently produce high quality output with little guidance or supervision
