National Company is looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join their team.

Purpose of the Position:
The Management of a team within the Finance Department. The SFC is responsible to motivate and manage the team in an encouraging manner to ensure that the team performs and accomplishes the targets set by Management.

Requirements:
B.Com with Accounting to 3rd year level or similar qualification
Minimum of 5 years commercial experience as a senior accountant or other high level financial role
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Duties:
Management of Full Finance Function
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations
Support the Group Financial Manager and Financial Analyst where needed
Prepare monthly and ad hoc management reporting and business activity reports
Prepare reconciliations at month end and present management accounts, budget and forecast
Prepare annual financial statements and annual audit files
Responsible for annual budgeting, capex management, cost control & in-depth variance analysis
Costing Models - Develop “what-if” costing and commercial models to understand cost/benefit of new customer and changes in pricing of new and current products. Analyse product profitability and provide advice and commentary in relation to these calculations.
Measures/Controls – development and maintenance of controls (identify weaknesses, suggest recommendations, and implement)
Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling
Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
Manage the company's financial accounting, debtors and reporting systems
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs

Client Management (Internal & External)
Ensure that communication with clients and internal departments is clear, detailed and professional.
Ensure that your team members strive to achieve the standard of spectacular client service required.
Establish and maintain good client relationships
Provide regular training to your team members to ensure their level of client service continuously improve
