Mr Backup is seeking the services of a dynamic Senior IT Technician to join our team in Fourways, Randburg. Our company has offices in Cape Town, London, Lisbon and Johannesburg and we operate throughout Africa, UK and the European Union. Job requirements

The successful candidate should be in possession of:

Minimum 6 years’ industry experience is essential
A+ and N+ qualifications
Advanced Backup Software certifications are a great advantage
Data Backup, restoration and disaster recovery knowledge and experience is essential
Experience in network troubleshooting
Microsoft Server trouble shooting remotely and onsite
Understanding of Virtual Environments
Excellent communication and command of the English language
Strong organisational and time management skills, with a high level of initiative
Presentable with good interpersonal skills
Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Salesperson accompaniment
Pre sales on site meetings
Maintenance and support
Architecture and customisation
Monitoring of Backup solutions for clients
The job entails working to provide storage and data management solutions for efficient and safe data preservation, and restorability. Your duties may consist of designing a data recovery and backup system to implement remotely or onsite at a client.

Salary

Package is negotiable but will be made up in part by a large share of hourly billing too.
