SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER
Large company based in the Vaal Triangle has a permanent position available for a Production Manager to join their highly dynamic team
Qualifications:
• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Min 8 years’ experience in a production management role in a fast paced high volume production meat processing factory

Skills
• Understanding and interpretation of strategy and financials on high level
• Outlook /MSWord/PowerPoint, Meat Matrix or similar software
• Excel Intermediate
• Excellent knowledge and practical experience managing a high volume processing factory
• according to relevant legal procedural and specification requirements
• Skilled in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principals as Threat assessment critical control point (TACCP) requirements
• Must be a strategic and motivational leader with an exceptional passion for the job
• Excellent understanding of supporting divisions and full utilization of their service – Finance, HR,
• Maintenance, Procurement, Despatch and others
• Be able to form part of an team that is driven by integrity, honesty, empowering people, passion and heart
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
• Manage and develop subordinates to their fullest potential and optimal contribution to the company’s bottom line
• Must be practically present and involved in daily production output versus target monitoring
• Skilled in legislative and statutory requirements applicable to a meat processing facility
• Used to manage in an environment where food safety is key
• Create and maintain a quality controlled and customer relations driven department through proper structuring of the department and training of personnel
• Actively participate in financial control, budget and managing financial spend on high level
• Willing to work overtime
• Motivational and inspiring leadership is essential
• Utilize service divisions to ensure continuous support to the production facility
• Reporting and analysis of financial / production results
