PBT has a requirement for a Senior Project Manager with a firm understanding of IT Project Management with business / operational experience.

Duties:
- To provide Gas Management System (GMS) to manage the nomination, measurement, allocation and invoicing process effectively and efficiently for the Gas Pipeline network (both in Moz and SA).
- To enable the provision of 3rd party access to the pipeline network in SA
- Comply to the Gas Network code (enable all the calculations and penalties contained in the NC)
- Be compatible with that of E&PI (able to integrate)
- Enable the new Financial reporting
- Molecule charges based on actuals vs nominations (ROMPCO in Moz)
- Stock holding per shipper
- Gas reconciliation for shippers
- Management of unaccounted for gas
- Annual Ship or Pay (SoP) for Gas Transportation Contracts with Rompco
- Customer profiling – based on history (daily, seasonally)
- Daily monitoring and data analysis
- Ease of reporting and data analysis – daily, weekly, monthly, annually
- Gas allocation to shippers where customers can purchase from multiple shippers
- Calculation of daily excess gas usage by supply point when applicable
- Common language – to introduce standardised terms
- Commercial planning that integrates upstream and downstream contracts to optimise economic value
- Avoiding cyclic / inefficient operation of the pipeline (pipeline fatigue, leaks) – possible mitigation of opex cost
- Integrate contract management data into the billing system / invoicing stream (Up & Down stream)
- Consumption / capacity forecasting – annually, monthly and daily for improved accuracy and improved economic benefit.
- Synchronisation of maintenance and operations planning across the entire value chain
- Ability to prove availability / unavailability of molecule and capacity for third party access
- One system that all stakeholders can access timeously and simultaneously (within reasonable authorisation)

Required Skills:
- Must have a firm understanding of IT Project Management with business / operational experience.
- Strong understanding of SAP systems and how they integrate with other management and SCADA systems
- A firm understanding of Natural Gas Capacity Management and Scada systems would be an added advantage.
- An automated (electronic) nomination (and re-nomination) system to be provided to
- Able to accommodate molecule and capacity nominations at entry and exit points daily, weekly, monthly
- Automated data exchange and compatibility (integration) with the following systems:

- Automated control of nominations against contractual terms and conditions
