Our client in the Financial sector has an Exciting opportunity for a Senior SQL DBA, East Rand

The objective of this position:

Monitoring:

Performance
CPU utilization
Memory utilization
Database alerts/warnings
Software Tools
Disk space utilization
Database Up Time
Backups & Integrity
Evaluate and monitor user access and security



Essential Requirements:

3 year experience in development and production database administrator roles
Completed degree/diploma/certification within Database Administration or related.
Have a passion for data and data integrity.
Experience of performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience of working in a virtualized environment (Hyper-V).
Skilled in problem resolution and management.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English.


Working experience of the following technologies:

MS SQL Server
SQL Server 2016 including T-SQL, SSIS, SQL STREAM
Replication / High Availability
T-SQL, Triggers, Stored Procedures, Functions
Backup & Recovery
Encryption
PowerShell
Security
Documentation of databases.
Job scheduling and execution.
Power BI - (Desirable)
SSAS Analysis design
SSRS
