POSITION: Service Manager – Inland Regions
LOCATION: Pretoria East
SALARY: R 30 000, 00 Negotiable + Benefits

Our client is looking for an experienced Service Manager to assign and direct all work performed in the
Gauteng and Johannesburg Area and to manage all areas of the operations, including health and safety,
customer service, human resources, and administration.

The Service Manager must be skilled in managing diverse operations and have excellent abilities in
financial and operations planning, supervising staff, fostering a positive environment, ensuring customer
satisfaction and implementing strategies that increase productivity and promotes efficiency and quality.

1. Supervision

Instruct, manage and direct staff to ensure that services are scheduled and delivered timeously
Resolve staffing issues
Maintain and improve on productivity levels and efficiencies
Accountable for professional image
Ensure stock availability
Plan work to be completed daily and weekly
Plan the most effective and most economical routes for teams

2. Customer Relations

Liaise with internal and external clients to ensure client satisfaction and resolve client concerns
Record areas where service can be improved and incorporate in training

3. Health and Safety

Audit, apply and maintain health and safety procedures, risk assessments, safe work procedures and
incident investigations.
Ongoing relevant up to date safety training
Comply with all site specific health and safety requirements

4. Human Resources

Monitor attendance (hours of work and overtime) and replacement staff for teams
Identify and implement basic training as well as ongoing product training
Facilitate disciplinary issues and HR functions in conjunction with HR
Regular meetings with staff.
Staff motivation and Industrial Relations support

5. Vehicle and Equipment Inspections

Ensure that equipment and vehicle inspections are done timeously
Hold staff responsible for replacement and care of equipment
Report monthly on vehicle and equipment inspections to management

6. Service Processes & Procedures

Manage services in accordance with the sector strategy, contract specifications and statutory
regulations
Ensure good customer relations with regular visits and completion of site inspections forms
Crisis management

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Own vehicle and valid driver's license
• Minimum 5 years managerial experience as Operations / General / Area / Regional Manager
• Minimum 5 years working experience within the Cleaning and Hygiene industry
• Post matric qualification in Business Management or related field
• Computer Literate in MS Word and Excel Excellent customer liaisons and communication skills
• Excellent Human Resources and leadership management skills
