Descriptions:

Monitor and control all extrusion processes to manufacture products that conform to specification. 
Ensure team follows process steps to conform to ISO specifications and other relevant procedures. 
Take full responsibility for process and product quality. 
Responsible for timeous, correct line set-ups and changeovers for different products and record all relevant set-up information. This includes tool changes, feeder changes and raw material changes. 
Analyse process and product deviations and problems; perform adjustments and troubleshooting. 
High focus on OEE indicators (Availability, Performance, Quality). 
Monitor and inspect machines and equipment to maintain a high level of mechanical performance. 
Maintain team morale and discipline – control attendance and punctuality and maintain records. 
Keep production area and facilities in a good, organised and safe condition. 
Drive operational excellent activities such as 5S, set-ups, autonomous maintenance, root cause & corrective action, rapid problem solving, FIFO, tier meetings and skills development. 
Do maintenance work on shift as required and assist with general maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Red Seal Certification 
N4+ Electrical Qualification / Millwright 
5+ years in manufacturing environment (extrusion experience advantageous)
3+ years in a position that supervised/managed a team 
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal 
Excellent numeracy skills 
Excellent problem-solving skills 
Computer literate 
Good team player 
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
Energetic and dynamic 
Valid driver’s license 
Forklift licence
