Sovereign, a national supplier of top-quality poultry products to markets via various brands is seeking to employ a SKOV Technical Manager for its Broiler operations in the Agriculture department. This position reports directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager in the Agriculture division.

The successful incumbent should be in the possession of a matric certificate and a completed Electrical trade test and/or a NQF 4 or 5 qualification. A minimum of 3 years experience in electrical fault finding and problem-solving and experience in setting up and maintaining SKOV ventilation systems are required.

Results Required:

• Ensure that all SKOV and related infrastructure (hardware/software) is optimized to drive efficiencies.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of synergies between feed levels, climatic conditions, and the impact on bird performance levels.
• Ensure the required admin, setup checklists, and change registers are completed timeously.
• Research new developments on equipment, methods, and software, and ensure staff is trained on SKOV.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures relating to SKOV.
• Maintain high BRC compliance and high standards of housekeeping.
• Mitigate risk in areas pertaining to alarm limits, alarm types, and backup alarm systems.
• Attend health and safety meetings and facilitate legal compliance.
