We have an exciting career opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join a leading international online gambling operator at their offices in Cape Town. You will be responsible for the strategy, content and performance on all the Group’s social media channels in order to maximise social media engagement and following, while managing all daily social media communication in direct alignment with the brand and acquisition objectives. Your key job responsibilities as the Social Media Manager in Cape Town will include:

- Budget Optimisation – Assist the Marketing Leader and Marketing Manager in devising, managing, and optimising the social budget
- Social Strategy Management – Continually create, test, analyse and optimise social strategies to drive KPI performance. Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure all campaign strategies align with above-the-line campaigns, to both support and boost performance across all social media channels
- Reporting – Analyse all social media performance, define targets and report on results
- Calendar Management – Create and manage a compelling and engaging social calendar to maximize our content ROI through focused, event-driven campaigns
- Task Management – Manage all social functions including (but not limited to) briefing, creation, distribution, and community management
- Supplier Management – Work with the Marketing Manager in managing the relationships with third-party providers, ad networks and partners required to maximise campaign performance
- Retention Content Production – Work with the Retention Manager, Designers, Content Marketer in creation and execution of retention strategies
- Design Production – Work with the Design unit to ensure all campaigns maintain a consistent brand image in line with the group’s strategy
- Content Production – Work with Content Marketer to ensure alignment between channel and content strategies

Requirements for this Social Media Manager job in Cape Town:

- 3+ years’ experience in a content and social media focused role within a marketing team
- Experience of managing site content and producing content schedules
- Experience across a wide range of social media platforms and social media management tools
- Experience in using content to acquire, retain, and engage customers
- Experience in the production and marketing of various forms of content (namely written, audio and video)
- A deep understanding of various content and social media reporting tools, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Search Console
- A proven ability to utilise data to inform a content and marketing strategy to deliver on goals and meet established KPIs
- Excellent technical SEO management skills
- Experience in overseeing large scale content-led marketing campaigns
- Knowledgeable of betting and a wide range of sports
- Strong communication and presentation skills (both spoken and written)
- Familiar with betting and casino terminology, and betting psyche
