R40 000 – R50 000 per month neg

Note: salary is negotiable for the required experience

Requirements:
Grade 12
Qualification related to sound/audio or related field is highly recommended and an advantage
Proven experience as a sound/audio technician
Great passion for music and audio equipment
Technical expertise in sound techniques
Experience with sound editing and recording equipment (SSL highly recommended and a major advantage)
Working knowledge of recording software and hardware
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deal with various personalities which would internal local and international musicians and recording artist etc.
Creativity and attention to detail
Excellent hearing and manual dexterity
Problem solving abilities

Responsible for setting up sound and recording equipment. Make adjustments and testing equipment
Assist with recordings or sound productions

Prepare sound equipment
Setting up sound boards, microphones, amplifiers, audio lines, monitors and speakers etc.
Testing of equipment
Operate equipment
Repair and maintain faulty equipment – this is an essential requirement for the post
Technical knowledge is essential
Constructing cables, repairs and maintenance of consoles, controllers, processors, microphones etc.
Excellent hearing and an eye for detail
