MAIN TASK & RESPONSIBILITY
To plan, execute and manage procurement related activities for the Operation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Essential unless otherwise indicated):
Certificate Grade 12
B. Degree or B.Tech in Procurement / Financial Discipline
Valid Driver’s Licence Code B
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS (Essential unless otherwise indicated):
6-8 Year’s experience in procurement or financial experience in a mining or technical environment
2 Year’s Supervisory experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (Essential unless otherwise indicated):
System Skills which includes Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning, SHERQ Systems and Inventory Tracking Software
Manage and control procurement of external services/ products to ensure efficient service delivery. Manage the expediting process in line with contract/order terms
Manage and control vendor database and liaison with vendors. Manage and monitor vendor performances according SLA’s
Administer tender process in accordance with tender policy and procedure
Administer, control and update contracts held with external providers and originate favourable long term supply contracts. Key liaison with external legal contract specialists
Ensure compliance with legislation by setting and achieving targets in terms of BBBEE, DTI and Mining Charter requirements. Develop and implement a procurement policy that will enable achievement of procurement targets and statutory compliance
Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes to area of responsibility to respond to changes in the industry, legislation, and other related matters including transformation and optimisation. Assist with workplace readiness assessment
Obtain, check and refine information. Collate and submit reports. Run data exception reports and take corrective action. Conduct document control spot-checks
Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions involving team members. Recognise and reward team member efforts
Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes
Plan, direct and assess Quality Management within sub-function and recommend remedial actions where necessary to ensure adherence to TQM principles
Provide input into functional planning. Interpret functional plan and develop sub-functional plans
Ensure operational plan is implemented
Manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources. Optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met
Optimise the core operational internal processes and internal supply chain and resolve operational conflicts
