Technical Production Factory Manager – Pretoria
Area: Pretoria
Package: Salary Range up to R500 000-00 Total Annual Package (inclusive of Provident Fund and Medical Aid contributions). Position includes company vehicle, company cell phone, company computer. Perks tax payable on company vehicle.
Purpose:
To maximise the factory, the area and the company profitability by leading the teams to increase production levels, increase quality control standards, increase production levels, achieve and improve H&S standards, decrease plant production & maintenance costs and retain and grow the existing customer base. Also, to manage all the resources required to meet the manufacturing targets and to lead associates to continuously improve their standard of performance.
Duties:
1. Manufacture product to meet the laid down production plan and financial targets.
2. Control manufacture to achieve 100% conformity with quality specifications.
3. Maintain safety standards and statutory requirements.
4. Manage the daily activities of factory associates and to organise, lead and develop factory associate’s performance in order to achieve business objectives.
5. Manage self to improve personal effectiveness.
Skills and experience required:
? Strong compliance, integrity and ethical behaviour at all times.
? Good communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
? A minimum of 5 years proven experience at management level in the tyre industry or in a technical production environment.
? Additional experience in the tyre manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
? Proven understanding, experience and application of general management principles, including operational finance control, budgeting H&S and Industrial Relations in a production environment.
? Sound working knowledge of all Admin Systems, particularly the GRIPS Computer system and MS-Office Computer system, within a production environment.
? Relevant technical and production experience.
? Ability to work independently and personal motivation to succeed in a challenging environment.
? Prepared to work operational hours in terms of the Company’s specific sales and production requirements.
Qualification required:
? Valid Driver’s Licence.
? Grade 12 (Matric).
? Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Bachelor’s Degree / N6 National Diploma in Engineering.
