Our client, a leading international Mining Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Technician Engineering UG person at the Libanon facility near Westonaria.

Summary: The responsibilities of the incumbent include; Support and add value to the responsible ICT and Engineering sections with regards to the safe operation of Telecommunication in the mining environment. Installation and maintenance of Telecommunication equipment

The appointee should:

Be in possession of a S4 / T3 qualification in Telecommunication / Instrumentation or higher Telecommunication / Instrumentation qualification (Telecommunication experience negotiable).
Be in possession of a N3 in Telecommunication / Instrumentation or higher Telecommunication / Instrumentation qualification and a Telecommunication / Instrumentation trade with 8 years post telecommunication / instrumentation trade test experience.
Have good knowledge of Telecommunication / Instrumentation.
Have sound knowledge of Telecommunication/ process control and system integration.
Have good communication and management skills.
Be fully computer literate in Microsoft office.
Exhibit good oral and writing skills.
Be able to operate without the support of external assistance.
Be willing to work extended hours when required.
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

Key responsibilities include:

Support and add value to the responsible ICT and Engineering sections with regards to the safe operation of Telecommunication in the mining environment.
Installation and maintenance of Telecommunication equipment.
Ensuring that quality and quantity specialized technical outputs through the utilization of resources are performed.
Ensuring that provided system, practices, methods and procedures are implemented, maintained and continuously improved.
Ensure that daily activities are planned in advance.
Ensure that specialist knowledge and experience to solve problems are utilized.
To ensure that costs are controlled and wastage of resources are eliminated
To ensure that provided technology is optimally applied.
Ensuring correct installations and maintenance from a Mechanical, Electrical and Telecommunication perspective on all types of Telecommunication equipment.
Make recommendations on equipment and systems improvements, which could contribute to improved system performance.
Ensure all relevant procedures are in place.
Ensure that all Sibanye Stillwater standards are adhered to at all times.
