Sovereign Foods is looking for an individual to assume the position of Financial Manager at their operations in Pretoria West for a 6 month project. The position carries the TASK grade T12. Reporting to the Senior Divisional Financial Manager, the job holder must have a Tertiary qualification (B. Comm Honours or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as financial manager.

RESULTS REQUIRED:
• Manage costs of production vs budget
• Ensure accurate production stock controls are maintained, verification systems in place and reported on.
• Implement strong processes and ensure financial control exists over tender & supplier evaluation processes
• Prepare and review annual budgetary process
• Ensure that there are no significant control weaknesses in the divisions with respect to the balance sheet and management accounts.
• Attend to all financial accounting duties and cost controls including preparation of financial reports

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Analytical ability
• Advanced computer skills (especially in MS Excel with database administration knowledge)
• Good database administration skills
• Extensive knowledge and experience of the financial environment
